Chalazion
My left eye has been unbelievably swollen for two weeks! I visited the GP twice, but they apparently told me it was nothing to worry about and gave me tonnes of antibiotics, ointments and pills to reduce the swelling. I’ve been bumming at home (even on NYE can you believe it?) and the swelling just kept on increasing! I told myself that no matter what, I had to get this thing off cause I didn’t want it affecting my life anymore. So, I made an appointment with an ophthalmologist at ISEC Malaysia, Mid Valley this afternoon. The doctor instantly knew I wanted it off and the only way to have gotten rid of was to go through a minor surgery.
What I had was a cyst formed by an inflammation of a blocked meibomian gland. The procedure started with the nurse cleaning my eye with some numbing drops. The doctor then came in and injected a dose of anesthesia directly into my eye. Normally, cysts are removed through turning the eyelid over and making an incision on the inner eyelid, so no scar is visible. In my case however, the cyst was way too big for him to flip my eyelid over and make an incision from the inside so he made one on the outside instead. He gave me the title as the record holder for the biggest chalazion of 2010-2011. Lols! At least that’s something good about it… Or not! Let’s pray and hope the scar isn’t going to be too bad!
Gotta go back in 2 days time. FML!
Singapore Day 4 (II)
So, after we toured the entire Universal Studio’s theme park, we took the MRT to Esplanade Mall where there was Max Brenner, Chocolate by the bald man. I’m the type who always preferred a cup of coffee over hot chocolate, but Bubsy insisted on me trying the Max B signature drinks. The only real chocolate drink that I really liked and grew up drinking was Milo, but I decided to give Max B a try. Who would’ve known, I loved it!
Lovely cover design on the menu
The indoor lighting made a great looking ambiance for photo taking

Our spy: A cute white Siberian tiger key chain we bought from Night Safari
Bubsy’s: Milk chocolate with choco balls in a hug mug
Mine: The Suckao
So, I ordered the Suckao (which is a combination of the words Suck and Kakao; Suck literally meaning to suck the chocolate shot through the metal straw and Kakao is the Spanish word for cocoa beans). It comes in an aromatherapy-equipment-lookalike with a tea light candle and a metal straw/spoon (like those they have in 7-Eleven for Slurpee except it’s metal). So, here is how you DIY your own chocolate shot:
Step 1: Pour warm milk into the mini cup
Step 2: Scoop in the chocolate chips (amount dependent to your liking)
Step 3: Stir, stir, mix, mix & slurp but make sure not to burn your tongue! Lols.
The waiter that attended to us happened to be extremely nice, and he gave me a plate of dark chocolate bits for free, which we usually had to pay an amount equivalent to another Suckao for! He even mentioned to the guys that only the ladies got such treatment. Haha! I personally prefer the dark chocolate Suckao as compared to the milk one because the milk mix is wayyy too sweet for my liking.

Took a walk after getting chocolate high by the Waterfront Promenade.
Love the view!
Singapore Day 4 (I)
This day, in my opinion was the awesome-est of all days of the entire trip! Okay, I really have to admit that Singapore’s Universal Studios theme park surpasses Hong Kong’s Disneyland by miles. To begin with, at least, everything was in English! I think if Disneyland was to open in Malaysia, all Disney characters would be speaking in Malay. ![]()
The signature globe!
Charlie Chaplin
Po from Kung Fu Panda
This was my favorite section of the entire theme park – The Far Far Away Kingdom! It was so wonderfully decorated and furbished that it made me forget the fact that I was in Singapore and it felt as though I was living in an actual fairytale! Every girl’s fantasy.

Bubsy had his first 4D movie experience. ![]()
And we went shopping at Versarchery after!
The Battlestar Galactica, the main attraction, the best ride of the entire park, and apparently the world’s tallest dual roller-coaster (2 coasters running simultaneously) was under inspection on that day itself and was not open to the audience. Boohoo! The second best attraction of the entire park however, in my opinion was The Mummy roller-coaster.
It seriously was an epic and thrilling experience for me! The best part of the ride was that it was in complete darkness! So whenever we were falling at high speeds, we had no idea whatsoever! This was the only ride I didn’t bother posing and looking pretty for when the in-ride camera snapped. It was way too scary! ![]()
2 humongous Anubis in front of the entrance of the ride
The flavors they have for their popcorn is yummay!

Mr. Super-High-Fats-Hershey’s was outside the candy store.
To be continued…
Singapore Day 3
On the third day it was time for the actual Universal Studio Day! Unfortunately, the tickets were sold out for the day itself, so Bubsy and I quickly bought tickets for the day after. And since we were already in Sentosa Island, we decided to take a tour around the entire Sentosa Resort.
Woah! If only this was real, it could last me for years!
Omg, they even have candy growing on trees!
My favorite vitamin water drink that we don’t have in Malaysia. (._.)
After lunch, we decided to give the summer luge a try. It’s something similar to a go-kart just minus the engine. We took a chairlift up to the highest point of the hill and kart-ed down all the way in full speed! We also rented bikes to cycle around for an hour (was quite a pain to cycle with a dress even though I wore a shorts inside).
Bubsy & I
Krazee monkays!
Stupid karts at the back of the chairlift knocked my slippers off. Bah!
Shisha is a necessity for the boys even during holidays. So we headed to Arab street after dinner to smoke some shisha! The shisha there was kinda costly but I’d have to say, it was worth it because it tasted better as they used wood charcoal instead.
Thank goodness the cushions and mats did not smell!

We were exhausted and sleepy already.
